LTA Announces Reduction in ERP Rates for December School Holidays

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority Implements Decreased Charges at Key Locations to Ease Travel During the Festive Season

LTA Initiates Reduced ERP Rates for December School Holidays

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore has recently declared a revision in Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates, providing a welcome relief for motorists during the upcoming December school holidays.

The adjustments, set to be effective from November 20, 2023, to December 31, 2023, are designed to facilitate smoother travel experiences at selected expressway locations.

This move aims to align with the festive spirit and reduce financial burdens on commuters during the holiday season.

Reduced Rates at 10 Expressway Locations

In an official statement released on November 15, the LTA outlined the specific locations and timings where ERP rates will witness a reduction of S$1.

These locations include prominent expressways such as Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), Central Expressway (CTE), Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE), and Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), strategically selected to alleviate congestion during peak hours.

Revised ERP Rates

The revised ERP rates will be applicable during designated time slots, primarily in the morning between 7:30 am and 10:00 am.

Notable adjustments include the complete waiver of charges at AYE before Alexandra towards City during this period.

Additionally, the set of three gantries after Jurong Town Hall towards City during 7:30 am – 8:00 am will see a reduction from $2.00 to $1.00.

Similar reductions can be observed at various other locations during specified time frames, contributing to an overall decrease in the financial burden on motorists.

Elevating Travel Experiences Amidst the Festive Season

By strategically selecting key expressway locations and specific timings, the LTA aims to alleviate congestion and make travel more affordable for the public during this festive season.
