Enforcement of active mobility rules by LTA

LTA Singapore: “In Feb, our #AMEOs pressed on with the strict enforcement of the e-scooter ban on footpaths, and caught a total of 212 errant riders. During our enforcement operations, we also checked for device compliance as well as the display of identification and registration marks. Devices that exceed the maximum weight of 20kg and maximum width of 70cm were impounded. We have impounded 162 non-compliant devices and detected 841 active mobility offences last month. #PSA From April 2020, mandatory inspection of registered e-scooters will commence, and the ban on all motorised PMDs on footpath will also take effect. Find out more about the active mobility rules at go.gov.sg/amrules today!”
