Accident occurred on the morning of 25 Feb 2020 at the junction of Upper Changi Road and Simei Avenue.
“I was making a right turn on the right-most lane at the Upper Changi Road towards Simei Avenue (in the direction of Xilin Avenue) when a Mazda 6 in the 2nd lane cut perpendicularly into my lane, trying to execute a u-turn. Although I braked, the impact with the Mazda’s rear wheel was unavoidable.
When I asked the driver of the Mazda why he tried to u-turn from the outside lane, he replied that there was insufficient space to u-turn from the right-most lane, as the turning radius was too tight. I then realised that u-turns are not allowed at that junction, as there is no u-turn sign ahead of the junction.”
