Incident occured in 2018, but acts as a good reminder for all. In the video, a condo resident can be seen angrily threatening the security officer because of repeated parking warnings he has received. “I’m the one who pays you money,” he says.
All matters in private condominiums are looked after and governed by the Management Committee Strata Title (MCST), the committee that manages and writes policy for each condominium respectively. The Security Officers are there to ONLY ensure resident safety and enforce by-laws laid down by MCST.
Security officers are in no way involved in writing such policy.
Additionally, they are also not paid to be psychiatrists to listen to any personal issues residents may have. Resident issues will be more speedily tackled by being brought to the MCST directly and not vent out on the Security Officers.
