8 year old girl involved in Audi and van accident wakes up from 12-day coma

The 8 year old girl involved in the 23 Oct accident in Woodlands between an Audi and a van has finally woken up after 12-days in a coma.

The father of Lovelynn Tan confirmed in a Facebook post that she had regained consciousness on 3 November 2020. She was flung out of the van driven by her uncle during the accident and broke both her legs as well as sustaining brain injuries. She was immediately put into the ICU and underwent emergency surgery. Although her brain swelling has now subsided for the most part, mobility on the right side of her body is still affected and will take a much longer time to recover. Her uncle’s 23-year-old son and 27-year-old daughter were hurt in the accident as well.

Donations poured in online for the girl and her family, and approximately $40,000 was raised.
